#TeamCartrefi took on the Cardiff Half last Sunday and what a day it was! We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our amazing runners and celebrate their incredible achievement.
The 2025 Cardiff Half Marathon saw a whopping 27,000 people hitting the streets to take on the iconic race; amongst them were our 49 #TeamCartrefi runners.
Despite the wet and windy weather in the days leading up, miraculously the sun came out just in time, as our runners made their way through the 13-mile course.
We would like to say a massive thank you and congratulations to all our runners.
We hope that despite the achy legs, you feel an enormous sense of achievement for what you have accomplished, and pride in the fact the money you have raised will help support people with learning disabilities and autism live fulfilled, independent lives.
#TeamCartrefi has raised £12,000 so far, and there is still time to donate. You can see all our runners profiles and donate to them directly here: Cartrefi: Cardiff Half 2025.
Every pound of this will go straight back into communities across Wales, funding vital hubs and activities for the people we support.
Chloe, who is one of our colleagues at Cartrefi and has ran the Cardiff Half for the fourth time this year, said:
"All the months of training and fundraising have felt so worth it today. Running for such a good cause really helped power me though in the tougher moments and I am so proud of myself and what I have achieved."
We would also like to thank everyone in our Cartrefi community who came along to show their support from the side lines and celebrate at the events village after the race. We know your support meant a lot to the runners and truly helped make the day the success that it was.
