In the countdown to our annual Cartrefi Awards, we’ve been meeting our amazing finalists, celebrating their incredible achievements and the #EverydayRemarkable happening throughout our community.
Abi, Joseph and Owain - The Teamwork Award
Abi, Joseph, and Owain are three people we support from the Gwent area who show the incredible impact of teamwork. When we caught up with them, they shared their excitement about being finalists and what being part of a team means to them.
Joseph said: "We work together as a team, look after each other, have lots of fun, go places, and share plenty of cups of tea!"
When asked what they were most looking forward to ahead of the big night, all three agreed that they can't wait to see other people we support recognised for their achievements. They also expressed their excitement for enjoying some good food, getting to socialise, and of course, busting some moves on the dance floor!
Service Manager Tayah also spoke on their nomination, sharing a wonderful story about teamwork and community spirit. She told us that the reason behind their nomination was due to the team's response and efforts after proposing to bring everyone together to enjoy their weekly takeaway as a group. She was deeply touched and impressed by how enthusiastically they embraced the idea. Not only did they build a fantastic social group within their service, but they also helped connect people across the wider Gwent area. A true example of what is possible when people come together as a team.
Abi, Joesph and Owain are thrilled to be nominated as a team and can't wait to celebrate!
