With that in mind, we're now thrilled to properly introduce this year's finalists. Stay tuned in the coming weeks as we tell some of the amazing stories behind the nominations that bring the #EverydayRemarkable to life.
First up, are two of our central colleagues, Chloe and Kath. Chloe has been nominated as a finalist in our 'Central Colleague of The Year' category and Kath in 'Innovation in Support'.
Nominated by her team, senior finance colleague Chloe is known for her warm, person-centered approach. Her nomination highlights how during her time at Cartrefi, she has built a multitude of strong relationships across the organisation, from her colleagues to the people we support. Whether people need a friendly face to discuss a query with, or a fast, reliable solution, Chloe is a go-to person who always delivers.
As stated in her nomination: 'Chloe regularly travels to services to meet directly with team members, the people we support, and their families. She takes the time to listen, build relationships, and help everyone gain a better understanding of how Cartrefi works to support individuals to live happy, fulfilled, and independent lives.'
When chatting with Chloe, she was both humbled and excited to be recognised in such a competitive category. She said, "When I found out I had been shortlisted as a finalist I was very surprised and grateful, it gave me a real boost!"
We caught up with Chloe ahead of the big day to find out how she's feeling
Communications Officer, Kath, has been recognised as a finalist for her innovative work on her 'Co-op News' newsletter. Her nomination highlights this: 'Colleagues have been profoundly moved by some of the stories included in Coop News and there has been really positive feedback on the style and content of the newsletter. Furthermore, the newsletter is now a really important part of how we run the co-operative, giving the Activities Team a powerful resource to use at forum meetings. This piece of creative innovation has lifted the work of so many others in Cartrefi and the ownership and thought that goes into it each month is worthy of real recognition.'
Kath shared her thoughts on her nomination and what it means to her: "Whether I'm sharing stories about the people we support or keeping everyone connected across the organisation, I believe it's so important to keep finding fresh ways to keep people engaged. I'm deeply honored to be named a finalist alongside so many incredible people, and I can't wait to celebrate!"
Congratulations to both Chloe and Kath on this fantastic achievement. We cannot wait to celebrate with you very soon.
