Here at Cartrefi, we’re all about people and so we thought it was about time to introduce you to the people behind Cartrefi’s website, social media and communications.
Our communications team is made up of three people: our Communications Manager, Will and our two Communications Officers, Kathryn and Lydia. The job of the communications team is to showcase the amazing achievements of the people Cartrefi supports and the work Cartrefi colleagues do to support them all across Wales.

What does the team do?
Some of the work that our communications team does includes:
- Researching and writing stories about the people we support, our colleagues and our partners
- Posting and engaging with our followers on social media
- Creating newsletters and designing graphics
- Photography and videography
- Supporting Cartrefi colleagues with the projects they are working on
- Promoting the Cartrefi brand across Wales
- Supporting Cartrefi events and our fundraising work
We are a busy little team here at Cartrefi, but we wouldn’t have it any other way! We are privileged to work with every different part of our co-operative and to engage with every person who helps make Cartrefi great. Recognising and shining a spotlight on the achievements of our co-operative members is at the heart of what we do here in the communications team.
Making the #EverydayRemarkable come to life
In the communications team, we love what we do. Kathryn has been part of Cartrefi for nearly two years. She had always wanted a career in communications and working for Cartrefi has seen her go from strength to strength as a confident, creative storyteller. Kath said: "No two days at Cartrefi are ever the same. We have hundreds of amazing colleagues working across the country with wonderful individuals and communities. There are so many stories to tell!
"The best part about working in comms with Cartrefi is sharing the stories of how both our colleagues and the people we support are living by our values. Working on comms that reflect our people's dedication to kindness, honesty, trust, wellbeing and respect are so uplifting."
