The Cardiff Half Marathon is taking place this Sunday! Throughout the buildup we’ve been highlighting the stories of some of our #TeamCartrefi runners. With the race almost upon us, there’s just enough time for one more…
Wrapping up our ‘meet the runner’ series is Daniel!
Daniel has a deep connection with Cartrefi which inspired him to take on the half marathon, having previously worked for us as a support worker and manager for over 6 years.
Knowing firsthand the importance of the work we do, Daniel was motivated to run and raise funds which will help make #EverydayRemarkable for individuals with learning disabilities and autism across Wales.
Despite no longer being at Cartrefi, Daniel is still passionate about making a difference in people’s lives, currently working as a social worker assistant.
As part of his training, and in preparation for the half marathon, Daniel also took part in the Cardiff 10K last month.
Thank you for sharing your story with us Daniel, and for your brilliant efforts in training and fundraising, we’ll be cheering you on this Sunday!
This year #TeamCartrefi is the biggest it has ever been, with 49 amazing people running to support individuals with learning disabilities and autism. Whilst we’ve only had the chance to highlight a few of their stories, we wish everyone the best of luck and thank them for their dedication.
Every pound our runners raise will go straight back into communities across Wales, funding vital hubs and activities and helping the people we support live fulfilled, independent lives.
