Owain, a person we support in the Pontypool area, recently ticked something big off his bucket list... getting his first tattoo!
Getting a tattoo is something Owain has always wanted to do, and with the encouragement and support of his wonderful team, that dream finally became a reality.
Once the appointment was booked, Owain started chatting through ideas for the design with Support Worker Keith. Music has always been a big part of Owain’s life, so it didn’t take long for inspiration to strike. Together, they came up with the idea of a design featuring a pair of headphones alongside Owain’s initials as a simple but meaningful way to show his love for music.
Keith then got to work bringing the idea to life by creating a design that captured exactly what Owain had in mind.
Delighted with the final design and filled with determination, Owain headed to Living Colour in Cwmbran with his Service Manager, Tayah, ready for the big moment.
Prepared for the appointment, Owain brought along a small “tattoo survival kit” – complete with energy drinks and snacks to help him get through the session. With everything ready, the tattooist got to work.
Around two hours later, the tattoo was finished, and Owain couldn’t have been happier with the result. He was over the moon with how it turned out, and is already thinking about what tattoo he might get next!
